Most people never consider the connection between nurturing our inner-spirit and maintaining a fit, healthy body. But Lifestyle Fitness Coach Amy Lundberg, author of "Self Care Before Sit-Ups, says that s exactly why most people fail when they begin a fitness program. Holistic Exercise What does it mean to take a holistic approach to exercise? Lundberg asks. Most people don t want to take the time to look at the mental/spiritual side of their lives. They jump into an exercise program and a few weeks or months later, it all falls apart. Lundberg says that most people take a quick fix, cookie cutter approach to maintaining a fit body. They sign up for a gym membership, or buy a treadmill, but give up on it after a few weeks or months. Lundberg helps her clients focus on building an inner foundation to support their physical fitness program before she begins to add on the exercise component.
